About the Artist...
Shakira Nidhan was originally born in Brooklyn, New York as the youngest of four. As a child she moved to Virginia Beach, VA for the remainder of her adolescence. Growing up, she has always been intrigued with the fundamentals of beauty whether it was hair, makeup, art, photography, or design. Shakira has an A.A. degree in Computer & Information Science with a major in IT/Web Design. As a Graphic Designer, her ability to correct flaws with a computer influenced her drive to want to create that perfected image on a live canvas, using makeup. Shakira has experience with makeup and various hairstyling with private clients and for special events. She has had the great opportunity to be trained as a production makeup artist, under celebrity makeup artist such as: Victoria Duke, Jay Cannistraci, Erin Koplow and many other talented, professionals in this industry of makeup artists. It is her great pleasure to make the world a more beautiful place.
